Miami, FL – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to begin a
landscaping project the week of June 11, 2018. The project limits extend along SR 825/SW 137
Avenue from SR 90/SW 8 Street to NW 12 Street in Miami-Dade County. This project will cost
an estimated $397,000. The work will last roughly two months and includes the following:
• Improving aesthetics of the roadway by installing trees and palms in the medians
To complete this work safely, it will be necessary to close travel lanes at times. Tasks will be
done in stages and lane closures will be scheduled to keep traffic moving and avoid special
